Hey everyone! I managed to see a little sunshine trying the break through the fog this morning and I couldn’t help myself- I just had to talk about something Dainese that’s meant for speed. I’m showing some restrain though, I’m still saving the leather suits for when the sun is a little more certain it wants to be seen.
I chose to take a look at the Dainese Course D1 Out Motorcycle Boots because they look a little different from your standard sport boot. They still feature all the hard sections of protection that you’d want from a sport boot but it’s a lot sleeker in appearance than most. On top of that there’s a couple of other features I’ll get in to about it later.
I’ll start things off with safety. This boot is certified to CE level 2, the safest category protective gear like boots and armour can be given. Being given that safety rating says a whole lot about the boot’s quality.
It’s partly earned that rating for it’s D Axial ankle armour, the sleek protection that works like a hinge to keep your ankle and shins safe. Its actually pretty flexible too, unlike in a lot of other sport boots where they’ve been more of a hindrance.
One of the most awesome features about the Course D1 Out Boots are that they open up with a zip down the back. I’ve regularly seen people struggle to get into the usual sport boot, zip-down-the-side configuration. But by being able to slip your foot in from the back, Dainese has opened up a whole world of sports boots to a lot of people who’d usually have difficulty finding a sport boot they can get on.
The main construction of the boot is microfibre and D-stone fabric, both very tough and very protective while keeping the boot nice a lightweight Complete with toe panel for shifting gears and toe sliders that are replaceable. There are even magnesium or stainless steel sliders available for them!
There’s so much more to this boot and I don’t have the vocabulary to truly say just how nifty I think it is. It looks awesome, it’s innovative and it’s sure to be popular. At £239.95, it’s a heck of an investment but it’s absolutely worth it. We have them in our Preston showroom so you should definitely check them out and try them on.
Thanks for reading, everybody! Until next time!
