Hello, everyone! We’re excited to let you all know we’ve got some new Oxford stock in! To keep posts from getting too long, I’ll give most of the items their very own spotlight, so I’ll start with my favourite- The Oxford Montreal 2.0 Motorcycle Jacket
Starting with the outside! The outer shell is made from a 500D matt polyester, a light weight and durable material with Nylon DOBBY reinforcements, your first line of defense against the elements on a ride out. All of the seams are designed and engineered to maximise the performance of this jacket by disguising and hiding structure stitching that is made with top quality 3-ply Nylon bonded coated threading. There’s also combinations and hidden layers of extra material in the important places with “bar-tack” stitching for added durability. All of this works together to make a durable outer shell that breaks through the wind and weather. There are also adjusters on the arms, waist, hips, cuffs and collar. This is so that you can get the best fit possible as well as reduce wind resistance and how much the fabric flaps when you’re giving the throttle a good twist. Also at the collar is a rain hood that packs away neatly and you can wear it under your helmet to keep any surprise drips from getting down the back of your neck.
Beneath that outer layer is another one- a smart system Hipora waterproof liner that is both breathable and keeps the wet from getting in if you happen to be riding in soggy conditions. This is assisted by a double-zip storm flap on the front of the jacket by using overlapping liners for maximum resistance to water ingress. The Oxford Montreal 2.0 Motorcycle Jacket also comes with pockets for armour! There’s already CE level 1 armour in the shoulders and elbows but fitting your own armour of choice is easy should you wish. The back protector pocket opens up with a popper located on the inside of the jacket at the bottom where the small of the back would be. The shoulder pockets are located inside at the shoulders but the elbow armour pockets are actually located on the outside of the jacket and open with zippers. This is so that the elbow armour is more comfortable and it maximises its protective performance. Since we’re on the topic of protection and safety- The Jacket also has 360 degree reflective panels and transfer designs to ensure that there is always a part of you that is lit up in the lights of other drivers and riders for maximum visibility at night and in the dark.
The Montreal 2.0 Motorcycle Jacket also has nice, deep pockets for storing your valuables or just for giving your hands a warm place to rest when not riding- a touch screen compatible internal smart phone pocket, two more on the front where you’d expect to find your pockets and another on the small of the back. Speaking of warm places- the inside of the jacket also has a removable thermal liner, a full length, quilted insulation that’s sure to keep precious body heat inside the jacket on chilly two-wheel adventures.
On the inside, near the earlier mentioned back protector pocket opening, is an 8-inch YKK Vislon zipper, so that if you choose, you can connect the jacket to a pair of Oxford Trousers such as the Oxford Ranger 2.0 Textile Trousers or another pair that has a compatible zipper.
The Oxford Montreal 2.0 Motorcycle jacket is available sizes Small all the way through to 5XL and is available in Tech Black, Desert, Black Orange, Black Fluo Yellow and Black Blue
There’s lots more features to this jacket such as the adjustable vents, adjustable cuffs, a synthetic suede collar, all features that have clearly been designed by bikers for bikers. Oxford have really taken into account all the needs of a biker that they can think of from functionality to comfortability and put it all into this one awesome jacket. At a price tag of £119.95 to £129.95 [depending on which jacket and size you get] this is an excellent value for money motorcycle jacket that will be sure to please and be sure to last whether you’re a weekend rider, a commuter or a hardcore tourer.
The Oxford Montreal 2.0 Motorcycle Jacket is just one of many new and fantastic additions to our Oxford Products range and I look forward to telling you more about them. In the mean time, I hope this Blog entry has been informative and if you’ve been looking at the Montreal 2.0 Jacket yourself- I hope this has helped to give you some info that you were looking for and convinced you that it’s a worthwhile biker’s jacket.
Thank you all for reading. Until next time!

Great jacket, let down by sleeves not wide enough to get gloves under

Hi Phil
Sorry that the widths on the sleeves don’t meet your requirements- I think it must have been a design choice by Oxford to allow the cuffs to tuck under gauntlets for the most rain resistance. But another zip or adjuster for a bit more room under the cuff would have been nice.
Thanks for your comment!

How water proof is it
M W says
Hi Jeff
The jacket is as waterproof as a decent motorcycle jacket can reasonably get. It’ll do the job in heavy rain if everything is fastened and zipped up properly but if the weather is getting torrential- I’d still throw on my waterproof over-alls to be safe. Thanks for your comment!
