Hey there, everyone! I’m doing another blog about scorpion exhausts but this time I’m somewhat back in my comfort zone and talking about stuff for bikes! This time I’ll be covering a couple of Suzuki GSX-S 750 Scorpion Exhausts for the 17-18 model.
The two models of exhaust that Scorpion has released are the Scorpion Serket Taper Oval Exhaust and the Scorpion RP-1 GP Round Exhaust, my favourite of the two. Both exhausts are EC approved, so your bike will pass an MOT with one on and they’re developed so that you won’t have to modify how your bike is fueled. Just take the old exhaust off, fit the new one on and you’re good to go.
As you can see the exhausts both look completely different and the have a couple of different functions too. The Serket Taper Oval Exhaust is.. well, its tapered in shape. It works quite well with the GSX-S’ shapes and blends nicely with the over all look of the bike, especially the Carbon Fibre version. Its also a slip-on exhaust, the exhaust is held in place on the pipe with two tough springs that can be removed and allow for it to, as the term would suggest, be slipped on and off. Its a concept borrowed from GP bikes that enables quick exhaust changes. The Scorpion Serket Taper Oval Exhaust is all about performance and bringing the most out of your bike without drastic modifications. You can get as much as 5.1hp increase and reduce the weight by 2.5kg or more, depending on which finish of exhaust you get. The Scorpion Serket Taper Oval Exhaust for the Suzuki GSX-S 750 17-18 comes in Stainless Steel, Carbon Fibre and Titanium.
Now on to the Scorpion RP-1 GP Carbon round Exhaust for the Suzuki GSX-S 750 17-28. Its an awesome exhaust and while it may not be a slip-on like the Taper Serket, its been made for top performance and features Titanium parts that keeps the Exhaust system very light at just 0.9kg! That’s a saving you 3.7kg of weight compared to a stock exhaust! As well as keeping the system super light, it also improves your bike’s performance by coaxing out another 5.9hp. Its more expensive than the Taper Serket Exhaust System but if you’re big on getting the absolute best performance out of your bike, then this exhaust was meant for you. Personally I also prefer how it looks compared to the shape of the Taper Serket Exhaust. Its only available in Titanium or Carbon finishes but its still an amazing exhaust.
These exhausts are really easy to fit yourself as well, it’s just a case of removing the old exhaust, putting the new one together and fitting it to the bike. You should be able to put it on, take the bike for a ride and make any checks after in about an hour. You don’t need to alter how your bike is fueled or get it re-jetted, just fit the exhaust and go for a ride, it’s never been easier to bring out pro performance in your bike. When you buy a Scorpion Exhaust you’re also buying the assurance of a quality product. Each exhaust has to pass a strict quality assurance test and Scorpion are so thorough that they even give every exhaust a lifetime warranty. So if the exhaust fails due to a manufacturing error or corrosion, Scorpion will sort you out with a new exhaust for free. As long as you’re the original purchaser and you’ve fitted the exhaust to the right bike/been using the exhaust in the intended way, of course.
Thanks for reading, everyone! If you have any questions do please leave them as a comment and I’ll get back to you as soon as I’m able! Until next time!
