Hey everybody, since its the summer and I’m still looking for nice, comfortable and breathable products that you all may enjoy, I’ve thought of another Agrius product that I’m surprised that I haven’t mentioned before! So this time I present to you the Agrius softshell Motorcyle Jacket!
I’m not sure why this “jacket” wasn’t labelled as a hoodie instead, if it were I feel it would be getting much more of the attention it deserves. The shell of the jacket is exactly as the name of the jacket suggests- its soft. It does well to break through the wind and the fleece backing behind it provides warmth with a comfortable-to-wear feel. In addition the jacket has a mesh inner lining that helps the jacket to breathe when things are getting too warm.
One of my favourite features on the Softshell jacket is the cuffs and waist. The soft material used is elasticated and forms a comfortable seal around the wrists that I rather enjoy and its a luxury compared to some other jackets. I’ve worn plenty that have quite stiff material on the cuffs that rub and get sore after a while when wearing shorter summer gloves. Speaking of summer gloves, this jacket is best used with a shorter pair of gloves unless you intend on tucking the sleeves of this jacket under the gauntlets of your gloves. The jacket has a double cuff that allows the soft, elasticated seal cuff to go under the gloves with the shell cuff of the jacket over the top of them.
The jacket has two pockets on the front for your belongings. They’re a decent size and are secured with zippers so your wallet, phone, keys, whatever you have in there is safe while you’re riding. Since we’re talking about keeping things safe, the jacket has armour in the shoulder and elbows but unfortunately doesn’t have anything substantial in the back. It features armour pockets though so that you can pop in whatever armour will fit and give yourself an upgrade. We have a set of armour that would go great with this jacket too- a set of 5 piece soft armour that is CE Level 2 rated and is some of the most protective stuff on the market. I use this armour myself so I know that this jacket has the potential to be one of the most comfortable and protective jackets for summer riding.
The only negative about this is what to do with the drawstrings for the hood. If you forget about them they can flap about in the wind a lot but this is easily fixed by just tucking them in under the jacket. For £52.99 you’re getting yourself a fantastic jacket for the summer. Its light, protective, comfortable and perfect for dry weather and warm rides out. There’s not much else you can ask for out of a motorcycle hoodie, especially at such an affordable price.
