Hey, everyone! I’m back to present you another short boot, perfect for the summer heat and it’s one from our own brand Black. The Black Circuit Motorcycle Boots have all the protection that you would get with the bottom half of a normal motorcycle boot but ditched the top half to make a stylish, sporty looking short boot to give you more freedom of movement both off an on the bike.
The Circuits, even though they sound like they should be a track boot with a name like that, are just one item from our selection of short boots that have all the creature comforts and protective capabilities of a full boot. Within reason, of course, the lack of any material covering the shins obviously means there’s a little less protection on the leg as a whole. But as far as actual foot protection goes- you’re getting plenty. The boots are constructed with a tough microfibre leather to provide a solid shell around the foot providing you with the means to break through the wind but also give you great abrasion resistance should you find yourself in a grind. Aside from the microfibre, the outer shell also has areas of latex stretch panels that work with the low cut area behind the Achilles tendon to provide as much flex and natural movement of the foot as possible while keeping the ankle free but protected.
For extra protection the Circuits feature loads of reinforced areas. The toe cap is made from Techno GI Thermoplastic, a tough plastic with great impact absorbing properties but still have some flex and is much safer than using metal like with a steel toe cap. The ankle supports and gear change pads are reinforced with TPU, a more flexible kind of Thermoplastic that still provides excellent abrasion resistance and is resistant to oil. For added abrasion resistance and a little bit of armour, the Circuits also have toe sliders that can be easily replaced by taking out two small screws to remove the slider, pop the new one on and then put the screws back in.
The sole of the boots are an oil and petrol resistant vulcanised rubber that is tough but also give great surface grip both on and off the bike. The sole of the boot also has an anti-twist molded nylon mid sole that helps to prevent the boot and the foot inside it from twisting in unnatural ways to reduce injury in a crash.
The inside of the boot is just as cool as the outside with the features is has that are dedicated to rider comfort and even rider hygiene. The insole of the boot is made from a triple density construction that has three different functions to keep you comfortable; anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and moisture wicking to draw uncomfortable dampness away from the foot. The Circuit is quite a close fit to the foot too, its great for the summer and wearing thinner socks but you will still likely find that you have to move a size up from what you would wear in your normal shoes.
If black isn’t your thing the Circuit Motorcycle Boots also come in white and they’re available in sizes UK 7 to UK 12 for just £57.99. So you’re getting an excellent summer boot and you haven’t even broken £60! So if you’re looking for a cooler boot for the summer, both in terms of style and temperature, then you should definitely give a pair of these a try.
Thanks for reading, everyone! Until next time!
