Hailed as the ‘one they all want to win’, the BIBAs 2011 are the most ambitious event of its kind and attracted an exceptional level of entries from some of Lancashire’s top performing companies. The competition started at the beginning of January to find this year’s winners who were announced at a glittering awards ceremony on Friday, June 10th at the Blackpool tower Ballroom.
From a record number of entries totalling 1079, UK Good Deals Ltd, whose websites include www.GhostBikes.com and www.Pro-Jump.co.uk became the only company that were shortlisted as finalists in four separate categories including “Small Business of the Year”, “Excellence in Customer Service”, “Retailer of the Year” and “Leadership Team of the Year”, the company saw off a high calibre of companies to win three awards including “Excellence in Customer Service”, Small Business of the Year” and “Leadership Team of the Year”. The trophy was accepted by the director of UK Good Deals Ltd, Adam, who thanked the organisers, the sponsors of the event and especially his dedicated team.
The achievement of becoming winners in three categories and picking up the coveted winner’s trophy, is an incredible feat for a young and dynamic company enjoying growth at a time of recession. Chief Executive of the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, Babs Murphy said “The calibre of entries this year was exceptionally high and everyone who entered deserves admiration. All finalists have demonstrated to the judges, success, talent and inspiration. They are shining examples of what can be achieved in sometimes the most difficult circumstances by people with a real aspiration to improve their business and significantly contribute to the local economy.
