The Fox Racing 360 Motocross Jersey

Hey, everyone! We’re still really excited to have Fox, possibly the best Motocross brand in the world, on our shelves. So since I’ve already done and prepared a few blogs on the helmets from Fox Racing, I’m going to talk about their Jerseys.

For this blog entry, I present to you the Fox Racing 360 Motocross Jersey! The think I like the most, so far, about the Fox jerseys is the simplicity. Unlike a few other kits I’ve seen that have a whole assault of colour and detail on them, the Fox kits are perfectly simple allowing for easy matching of helmets to the kits and allowing for a full appreciation of the vibrant colours that come through in their fade free sublimated graphics.

The fabric is made from Polyester, a tried and tested material in the motorcycle and motocross world. It’s a trusted, tough but lightweight and flexible choice of fabric for making biker gear out of. The material of this jersey has excellent breathability, is moisture wicking to keep you dry and is designed for rider comfort. The back panel even has a larger-hole mesh to allow for more heat to breathe out.

Between the Fox Racing 360 MX Jersey’s athletic fit collar, precision fit cuff and drop tail rear design- the whole garment was made with the intention of fitting well and keeping that good fit while you ride.

Fly Racing 2018 Kinetic Kits

Hey, everyone! We’re getting quite a bit of Motocross gear in lately so I figured I’d write up about some more of them while the news is still fresh. We’ve had a good load of Oneal gear in that I’ve already written about but now we’ve also got in some of the Fly Racing 2018 goodies! The most notable of which is the new Fly Racing 2018 Kinetic Era motocross gear.

The design on the Kinetic Era gear is simple compared to a lot of other kits that have a mess of colour and shapes thrown all over them. But the Kinetic Era gear has a more classic style and vibrant colours to ensure that you look great and are definitely going to be seen. The graphics and colours in the jerseys are all sublimated too, so those colours will stay bright and vibrant over time, ensuring the competition will always recognise who’s ahead of them.

The Fly Racing 2018 Kinteic Era Jersey is made from a multi-panel construction and is designed to a standard fit, so that the way the jersey has been made to be comfortable whether you get a size to fit your body or a size to fit your body while you’re all armoured up.

Some of those panels in this multi-panel construction are mesh panels that allow the jerseys to breathe exceptionally well and help to keep you from overheating. It’s especially handy if you’re a rider who tends to clad themselves in armour for some serious riding which can work up a good sweat. The tail at the back of the jersey is extended too which helps to keep it all tucked in, if that’s how you wear it.

The collar of the jersey has a couple of notable features- and weirdly enough, one of those features is that a certain feature isn’t there. The collar is able to stretch a bit to accommodate a head slipping through but it also means that it’s comfortable if the jersey is pulled on way or another and keeps the material from irritating the skin. The feature that isn’t on the collar but still counts as a feature- the collar is tagless, so there are no irritating little bits of material rubbing and scraping at the nape of your neck. For £29.99, this is a very comfortable jersey made by people who know what an MXer needs to stay relaxed but stay focused.

The Fly Racing 2018 Kinetic Era Pants are made to match the jerseys and their different colours, but at £114.99, these pants have an impressive amount of features that make them a nicely sturdy bit of kit. Just for a start, the pants are made up of a 900D multi-panel construction, making them good and tough for taking off-road with giving plenty of breathing room.

For added protection the Kinetic Era pants have leather heat shield panels on the inside of the legs to keep you from getting toasted by your own engine. And those panels are kept in place with DuPont Kevlar stitching, so those panels are really durable and they aren’t going anywhere. Plus- Kevlar isn’t very good at conducting heat so it’s a prefect material for the job.

The knee area and legs on these pants are very well thought out in general- the knees themselves are ergonomically pre-shaped and have a large air intake system that keep them well ventilated as well as having stretch panels to give the knees a lot of freedom of movement. The knees are also designed to accommodate any riders that wear knee braces or guards.

At the waist of the pants it has a ratchet closure system with an adjustable belt so that you can get a secure fit that’s just right for you. And they’re accompanied by a zipper lock system at the front that keep the pants closed. Despite all that’s on these pants for the purpose of keeping your pants around your waist, they’re still easy to gear up and gear out of. There’s even an internal pocket inside the waistband for keeping small valuables you can’t do without

There’s more I could go on about with these pants but all I can really say about them is that they’re very well designed for keeping the rider cool and comfortable- well worth the £114.99 price tag with all the features that help to keep the rider’s mind on what’s ahead.

Oneal Hardwear 2018 Motocross Kits

Hey, everyone! I’m back with a new blog entry about Motocross gear from Oneal- The Oneal Hardwear 2018 Motocross Kit! By the time this entry is published the 2018 range will probably have been released [September 1st] and it looks awesome. The style of the kit is less hectic and chaotic than a lot of the other designs Oneal has done like the Element 2018 Attack Motocross kit but the simpler, sharp shapes with the bold, striking colours still command attention. And attention it will get, it’s a really smart looking kit that’s guaranteed to turn heads.

Just about everything put into making the Hardwear 2018 gear is an upgrade over Oneal’s Element 2018 gear with newer, more advanced materials and more features designed to make you the best rider you can be.

The jerseys are made from a new “Pro-Lite” performance fabric. It has a 4-way stretch giving lots of room for movement and comfort while being moisture wicking to keep the rider from getting too stuffy in all their gear. On top of that its Oneal’s lightest design of Jersey to date weighing just 170g in a Large. It’s like wearing feathers- tough, comfortable, colourful feathers. Complete with a vented neck design, vented panels under the arms, micro-cuffs and extended tail with added cooling mesh and silicon print to keep it all tucked in- this jersey is the result of well thought out design intended for pros and awesome style.

The pants are just as impressive as the jersey and they have to be the most advanced design of motocross pant I’ve ever come across. Like the jersey, these pants are heavy-duty with added tripple stitching in critical areas but are the lightest pair of pants that Oneal have designed to date. There are rubber patches around the knee with shaped, integrated air intakes giving you a pair of well ventilated pants to keep you cool. The belt of the pants has 360 degrees of adjustability for a perfect fit and to help keep your pants in place with an extra long leather heat shield to keep more of your legs better protected against the heat of a hot engine.

It has loads more features included as well, purely for making the pants more comfortable. The seat of the pants are padded, there are areas of stretch spandex for more freedom of movement, accordion knees that are sized for knee braces and easy flexing of the knee and the knees are pre-bent and padded. Oneal really went all out on making these pants a pleasure for an MXer to wear and it’s amazing how they’ve managed to squeeze that much function into their lightest pair of pants yet.

At £209.90 for the kit, this gear was made for pros and for the all the advanced features this kit has to offer- it’s great value for money and worth every penny. You can even get yourself a pair of the Oneal Hardwear 2018 Iron Motocross Gloves to match the kit for £39.95 and you’ll have spent under £250. I may not ride Motocross myself but with them being so light and breathable- I’m really tempted to get myself at least the jersey.

Oneal Element 2018 Motocross Kits

Hey, everyone! The weather is trying to convince us that summer is ending but we’re just not having it! We still get bouts of great, sunny weather from time to time so lets make the most of it. I’ve noticed a lot of Motocross riders making the most of it as well lately, getting in all the rides they can while the weather is half decent. So I thought I would do another blog on some MX gear, something I’m still trying to work toward doing a bit more of. But I know we’ve got some great gear coming in with the next season of Oneal stuff so I thought I’d talk a bit about that.

As always the Oneal Motocross gear looks awesome but, striking colours of these cool kits aside, what surprised me about them was the prices on some of these kits. Oneal are a well known brand in the world of MXing and their designer price tags usually reflect that status. But this season, particularly in the Oneal Element 2018 Motocross Kits, the price tag is really affordable at an entry-friendly £124.90 to £130.90.

For as low as £124.90 you can get a kit from Oneal that’s fit for the pros. The construction of the kits are heavy duty, yet also light weight, so it won’t weigh you down and enable you to perform to your best. The jerseys are made from a light material that breathes exceptionally well, is moisture wicking to help keep you comfortable and has sewn-in elbow padding. Oneal expect you to get good and mucky in their gear too, so the sublimated no-fade graphics will hold up against both the environment they’re ridden through and the washes to get any “environment” off that you’ve taken home with you.

The pants are made of a heavy duty but lightweight fabric so that it can stand up to the scuffs and rough treatment of MX riding, you’ve even got extra-durable, wear resistant panels on the seat of the pants, the inside of the legs and the knees- some of the most hardwearing areas on MX pants.

They’ve even taken comfort in mind, with everything from stretch panels in key points to give you the best freedom of movement. There are also lightweight, breathable panels in areas that are positioned away from being in contact with the bike for the best ventilation results.

There are some rubber areas for a bit of extra protection in a crash, they’re fully lined to keep you comfortable and there are even EVA foam hip protectors that can be removed and reinstalled as desired. The legs of the pants are tapered with elastic cuffs for a great fit and making tucking the cuffs into boots a bit more comfortable.

At £124.90 to £133.90 there are plenty of really cool kits to choose from. MX Force Motocross Kits

Hey there, everyone! In today’s blog entry I’m going to bring some MX gear we have into the spotlight. It’s been doing great in-store but I thought it could use a bit more attention from an online audience, so I’ll be specifically talking about the jerseys and pants in this entry but I’ll cover the helmets and goggles in another one. It all comes from a brand I hadn’t heard of until I saw all the boxes piling up a while back- MX Force.

WHO ARE MX FORCE?

So far I see them more or less the same as Wulfsport, they have great looking gear that’s made to an equally great quality but they have an affordable price tag. Or at least the price tag is affordable here with us at Ghostbikes as I hear that their products are worth a lot more than our price tags would suggest. Which is good for you MXers, your gear is more prone to damage than a road user’s, so a lower price tag makes the sport and style more accessible to more people.

MX Force and Wulfsport both even use a Wolf as part of their branding- I like Wolves so its another reason to like them for me. The major difference between the two brands is that MX Force have only been around for about ten years where Wulfsport have been around for 37, more than three times the amount of time to develop a name and reputation. So I’ve taken some time to look at their gear.

The first thing did was find the MX Force Motocross Kit prices to compare with other brands like Wulfsport and Fly Racing. For what you’re getting- MX Force definitely seems like the best value for money.

The Wulfsport Adult MX Kit prices we have now currently range from £78.44 to £94.90.

But the MX Force Kits currently range from £67.98 to £79.98 which is a really, really great price range to be in. I don’t have a dirt bike or go off-roading myself but for such inexpensive prices I’m really thinking of getting myself one of the kits to wear when I’m in shop to promote them. And also to keep cool on sunnier days in there, you can beat the heat in them since they breathe so well.

So how about a little more information on the jerseys and pants themselves?

THE JERSEYS

The MX Force Motocross Jerseys are made from a thin but tough and breathable material made from 90% Polyester and 10% PU Foam with lightly padded elbows. This results in a strong, cool but light weight fabric that has just a little bit of stretch to it for getting on over armour and such. And as I said earlier- makes them great for keeping covered but cool on hot sunny days. They sell individually for £19.99 but you should take advantage of our low prices and grab a kit if you can.

THE PANTS

The MX Force Motocross Pants are constructed from a much thicker and sturdier stuff than the jerseys. They’re made with a material composed of 40% Nylon, 50% Polyester and 10% PVC, resulting in a tough, abrasion resistant and lightweight pair of sturdy MX pants. The pants are quite well thought out too in terms of a biker’s needs. These features include-

A 100% Polyester inner lining for comfort and breathability
Accordion stretch panels on the knees for freedom of movement
Abrasion resistant Cordura saddle and leather inner knee panels
A ratchet buckle closure on the waist for a precise fit
Areas of lightweight TPR for protection while keeping flexible
